The process of connecting a device to a wireless network can vary somewhat based on the device itself. If you need specific step-by-step instructions, try entering the make and model of your device plus the term "wireless setup" [e.g. iPhone 14 Wireless Setup] into a search engine such as Google or Duckduckgo and more often than not you will find walkthroughs and guides for your specific device.

Android devices can access network setup functionality by inputting a drag down motion from the top of the touchscreen and selecting Internet, or by going to

Settings > Network & Internet

iPhones, iPads, and iPod Touch devices can access network settings via:

  1. From your Home screen, go to Settings > Wi-Fi.

  2. Turn on Wi-Fi. Your device will automatically search for available Wi-Fi networks.

  3. Tap the name of the Wi-Fi network that you want to join.

Windows computers can set up a wireless network depending on the version of Windows installed.

  • In Windows 7 or Windows 8.1, select Start, start typing Network and Sharing Center, and then choose it in the list.

  • In Windows 10, select Start , then select Settings > Network & Internet > Status > Network and Sharing Center.

  • In Windows 11, select Start, type control panel, then select Control Panel > Network and Internet > Network and Sharing Center.

Macintosh computers can access their wireless networks via the Apple menu followed by System Preferences, then click Network.
