Sometimes - and for any number of reasons - your internet connection may be abnormally slow. Slow internet is a relative term (what is slow to one person may be considered quite fast to another person) but generally by "slow" we mean that the throughput speeds, measured in megabits per seconds or "Mbps" is either lower than expected relative to the stated maximum throughput of your Internet service plan (e.g. up to 300 Mbps) or slow such that it is affecting your ability to connect to the network with sufficient throughput to do the things you expect to be able to do while connected like stream a TV show or music on multiple devices simultaneously.

To get a better idea of the issue, you may want to run a speed test. To do so, please log into your account or use one of the many available speed tests online.

If your speed is matching your contract, but you feel that it is too slow, you can upgrade your speed in the Billing Info tab on your user profile. Should your speed test show a speed substantially slower than your contract, please let us know by clicking on the blue chat bubble at the bottom right of our homepage (www.aerwave.io) or by phone (888-849-5040).

Please note that a wireless connection which is 10-15% slower than advertised is normal, and the wireless device itself may have a cap in throughput speed.
